Mitchell River
Catchment Area
Rising in the high country east of Dargo, the Wentworth River forms
part of the Mitchell River Catchment and joins the Mitchell River at
Tabberabbera, just north of the Mitchell River National Park. Access
to the Wentworth River is difficult. A number of 4x4 forestry tracks
cross the Wentworth River as it makes its way through rugged
mountainous country. Seen by few and difficult to reach, the Wentworth
Falls, situated on the upper reaches of the Wentworth River, are a
special feature.
