Snowy River Catchment Area648,000 ha (41%) of the Snowy River Catchment waterways are in East Gippsland. The remainder of the catchment area in NSW generates the greatest proportion of the total annual stream flow of which 32% is diverted to the Snowy Mountains Hydroelectric Scheme. The Snowy River and it's tributaries including the Suggan Buggan River, Little River, Buchan River, Deddick River and Brodribb River, empty into the South Pacific Ocean via the Snowy River estuary lowlands. |
