Brodribb
River
Snowy River Catchment Area
Rising in the western sector of The Errinundra National Park, the
Brodribb River flows southward from the ranges which divide its waters
from those of the Delegate River. Through forested and partially cleared
land, in essence following the
Bonang Highway,
the Brodribb River flows along the eastern border of Martins Creek
Flora Reserve and through the Brodribb Flora
Reserve. Coming out of forest 10 km east of
Orbost at the
Princes Highway,
Brodribb River enters fertile flood plains and grazing properties before
entering Lake Curlip. After flowing through
Lake Curlip, the Brodribb
River discharges into
the Snowy River, near
Marlo. The major tributary for
the Brodribb River is Cabbage
Tree Creek which takes in
Cabbage Tree Creek Flora Reserve.
