Colquhoun
Regional Park & State
Forest
The 3600 hectares of the Colquhoun Regional Park & State Forest provides
opportunity for a number of popular
recreational activities to compliment those of the nearby lakes, rivers
and coast. Between
Bruthen and
Nowa Nowa the
East Gippsland Rail Trail links with the
Gippsland Lakes Discovery Trail near the Mississippi Creek
Junction. With 40 km of forested tracks and trails within the
Colquhoun Regional Park & State Forest,
features include the
Granite Quarry, the
Log Crossing Picnic Area and
Stony Creek
Trestle Bridge. A number of unsealed, dry weather roads through the
forest allow access to major features within the Colquhoun Regional Park and
provide opportunities for
exploring the bush.
