Log
Crossing Picnic Area
On the banks of
the Mississippi Creek, the small
protected clearing set amongst a lightly forested area in the
western sector of the Colquhoun
Regional Forest. The Log Crossing Picnic Area is part of the
Gippsland Lakes Discovery Trail and offers a pleasant setting
for a picnic or BBQ.

The Tramway Walk - Taking the
Discovery Trail north from the Log Crossing Picnic Area to the
Mississippi Creek crossing and the Tramway Walk Terminus, the Tramway
Walk is an easy 30 min stroll which takes in a number of historic
tramway features.

Quarry Walk - The walk to
the quarry from the log crossing picnic area is an extension of the
Tramway Walk consisting of a round trip of 13 km.
