Located in the Mitchell River National Park, the Den of Nargun is a site of great cultural significance to women in the Gunnai / Kurnai Aboriginal community. The home of the Nargun - a half human, half stone creature reportedly taking children venturing near the rock pool. The Den of Nargun Track forms part of the Nargun Loop Track. Connecting a number sights and features of the Mitchell River National Park, the Den of Nargun Mitchell River Loop also forms part of the Billy Goat Bend / Mitchell River Walking Track. Features include the Den of Nargun, Woolshed Creek Camping Area, Deadcock Den, Mitchell River and the Bluff Lookout.
