Even though McMillan's Walking Track is marked at major road junctions and important areas, quality maps and map reading experience are essential as markers do go missing and the track loses definition at times.
If walking this track you will need to obtain detailed maps for navigation. Not all maps for the area show the tracks location and to walk the track it is suggested to take both an adventurer map and detailed topographic maps for the sections being walked
