Hope Battery
Registered with the Victorian Heritage
Register, the Good Hope Mining Precinct is of historical and
scientific importance. Powered by a portable 10 hp steam engine and
Cornish boiler, the 12 head battery was erected in 1865 to crush
gold bearing ore from the Good Hope Mine.
