Alpine Discovery FestivalLabour Day Long WeekendSaturday, 7 March to Monday, 9 March 2009The Alpine Discovery Festival is held on the Labour Day Weekend in March each year. A number of activities are run over the long weekend including the Hinnomunjie Picnic Races at the Hinnomunjie Race Course near Benambra, A Big Day Out in Swifts Creek, "Up the Creek" Discovery Festival & Rally commencing at Swifts Creek and the Tambo Valley Picnic Races at the Tambo Valley Racecourse on the outskirts of Swifts Creek.
