Port of Bairnsdale

Constructed in the mid 1860's, the Port of Bairnsdale serviced the East Gippsland shipping trade between Melbourne and Bairnsdale via the Mitchell River, the Gippsland Lakes and Lakes Entrance. The Port features a  Picnic Area with BBQ and Toilet Facilities and forms part of the Mitchell River Walk connecting to Howitt Park.
