Raymond Island

On The Gippsland Lakes

Separated from Paynesville by McMillan Strait, Raymond Island, situated in the Gippsland Lakes in East Gippsland, is accessible only by water. The Raymond Island Ferry operates a regular service between Paynesville  and Raymond Island. Raymond Island offers a number of vehicle / walking tracks that lead through bushland to a number of shoreline locations.  A casual 10 min walk east from the Raymond Island Ferry and Raymond Island Park along 7th Parade will lead to the Raymond Island Reserve where the resident population of koalas and a range of other wildlife can be observed.
